Late last year I felt that the 100 Things website needed to have some changes made to it to satisfy what I saw as a growing demand of people wanting to meet like-minded individuals. As such I created a whole new site (the very one you’re on now) and months on it seems that it’s working brilliantly!
With hundreds of ‘Campaigners’ now joining up (and all of these guys talking to one another via their on-line profile), people are chatting, becoming friends and helping each other with their goals- it’s phenomenal! To see daily conversation of such a positive nature occur leaves me with a great big smile on my bruised face (side-effect of training for a boxing match!) and a feeling that we’re heading in the right direction.
With all of this in mind, it was only a matter of time before people began to meet each other in person and with that I’d like to share with you what I think will be the first of many ’100 Things Events’.
It all started when one campaigner said to another ‘On my list is to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge‘. The reply was simple- ‘So do I! Shall we do it together!’. With a spontaneous decision to join forces, the girls then started a group via the 100 Things site, the aim of which was to see if anyone else wanted to join. The answer was of course YES and just 24 hours later there were 8 people who had decided that they’d like to join and climb the bridge together. Having just checked my emails, it seems that I am now the latest person to be invited to this event and I thought it would rude of me not to pass this invite onto you!

So if you’re reading this and you’re thinking ‘Gees, I want to climb the bridge too!’, go and check out the Facebook events page that the girls have set-up.
The ’100 Things Bridge Climb’, as they have called it, is planned for November this year, and we’re currently looking at having a post-climb function of some sort with a possible talk given by some bloke called Sebastian Terry.
It’s early days right now, but I think this might get quite popular!
