In 2019, live-service games have more leaks than perhaps any other game thanks to the efforts of dataminers who dive deep into the files of every update looking for oddities and noteworthy information and assets. And Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 has been no exception. That said, according to a new data-mining effort, the looter-shooter’s first raid, Dark Hours, will do more than just provide some new content for players to burn through, and will rather feature unique mechanics, and of course, new loot.

Data miners have been on top of any single game so far. Knowing that The Division 2 is the first in the franchise to receive Raids, further digging has been undergoing. The first raid in Division 2 will be formed of 8 players, as they’ll tackle down Operation Dark Hours. There have been numerous details leaked and how the stages will change as you progress through the raid.

The Operation Dark Hours raid was only revealed about 10 days ago, as part of the Year 1 roadmap for The Division 2. Creative director Julian Gerighty and game director Mathias Karlson previously explained that the game’s raids will “have bespoke mechanics, bespoke boss fights, and trying to do more with what we have in the game: Specializations, RPG systems, our shooting systems, eight players – working with groups, splitting up groups.” Buy Cheap The Division 2 Credits from gain a 3% discount by using the code “MMOCSVIP”.

The leaked Division 2 details also say that there will be “Powerplay” items that will drop randomly from special enemies throughout the course of the raid. These special items will last only a short time and will do special things for players including restocking their ammo, giving infinite recharge of Skills, show hidden stashes, turn Hunters against Elites, and unlock a hidden checkpoint.

The list of PowerPlay items includes a new signature weapon, two new characters, and a collectible. They’ll only be available to use within the raid, and only for a limited amount of time. There’s not a ton of information on any of the items, particularly the signature weapon, so we’ll have to see how these things work in practice when Dark Hours comes out. We still don’t have a release date for Operation Dark Hours, so it’s an open question when we’ll actually get our hands on it.

Now separated into three different zones in D.C. instead of one large one, the Dark Zone features updated looting mechanics, better player balancing, and new Rogue mechanics. The Division 2‘s Dark Zones also brings about the idea of occupied zones, which brings new rules and better rewards.
